Hiring in Doha, Qatar for leading Infrastructure company through secondment
Mandatory Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University in an appropriate field such as, Project Management, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Procurement or Construction Management or equivalent
· Evidence of discipline specific professional qualification PMP or equivalent
Skills and Competencies
· Minimum 20 years’ post graduate experience with experience in major infrastructure Projects or programmes. Preference will be given to Drainage Pipeline, Wastewater Treatment Plants and Pumping Stations, TSE Pipelines, Surface Ground Water Systems, Underground Services and Civil Structures related experience.
· Proven ability to perform in a management capacity and a thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations are also required. In addition, must be knowledgeable of current technology and how it can be effectively utilised on the Project
· In-depth understanding of construction procedures and Project Management principles
· Demonstrable track record in the delivery of large team led multidisciplinary Projects
· In-depth knowledge of Project Management procedures
· A “rounded profile”, with experience in strategic planning, risk management and/or change management analysis and commercial considerations
· Strong communication skills both oral and written, to build and maintain excellent working relationships within complex organisational structures, both internally and with various Project stakeholders
Key Responsibilities
· Ensure and review compliance with Project Management processes and procedures
· Liaise with heads of delivery teams and key stakeholders to effectively manage various Projects
· Coordinate with all relevant parties and representatives such as owners and legal authorities to minimize any disruption and ensure the completion of Projects on time and within cost
· Overarching responsibility for Project delivery across all disciplines (including technical, commercial, Project controls (programme, planning, HSE, quality risk, systems compliance etc.)
· Manage Senior Management Team meetings and strategic workshops
· Collaborate and communicate with internal and external stakeholders
· Elevate any issues on behalf of the Authority and collect and update periodic reports for the Projects and submit them to higher management to provide clear information on the status and extent of progress of work in the Projects
· Continually seek and capture lessons learned from the Project and use this intelligence to improve systems, tools and processes
