Design Architect

We are seeking a talented and experienced Design Architect with a strong background in consultancy to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in architectural design, project management, and client communication within the consultancy environment. This role requires a creative thinker with a keen eye for detail and a passion for innovative design solutions. The Design Architect will be responsible for leading architectural projects from concept through to completion, collaborating with clients, engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver outstanding design solutions that meet both aesthetic and functional requirements.

Responsibilities:

1. Lead architectural design projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and client requirements.
2. Collaborate with clients to understand their vision, goals, and objectives, and translate them into innovative design concepts.
3. Develop detailed architectural drawings, plans, and specifications using industry-standard software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or SketchUp.
4. Conduct site visits and surveys to assess existing conditions and gather relevant information for design development.
5. Coordinate with internal teams, including engineers, interior designers, and project managers, to integrate architectural design with other disciplines.
6. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff members, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
7. Review project documentation and ensure compliance with regulatory standards, building codes, and zoning requirements.
8. Present design proposals and progress updates to clients, stakeholders, and project teams, soliciting feedback and incorporating revisions as necessary.
9. Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in architectural design and construction.
10. Participate in business development activities, including preparing proposals, attending client meetings, and contributing to marketing efforts to expand the firm’s client base.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in architectural design, preferably in a consultancy environment.
3. Proficiency in architectural design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
4. Strong understanding of building systems, construction techniques, and materials.
5. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
7. Proven track record of delivering high-quality architectural design solutions on time and within budget.
8. Professional licensure or eligibility for licensure preferred.
9. Experience working with diverse project types, including commercial, residential, institutional, and hospitality projects.
10. Portfolio showcasing a range of architectural projects and design expertise.
