Assistant Director Of Sales vacancy in Ezdan Palace Hotel
Assisting in overseeing and directing all aspects of the hotel’s sales operation including Sales, C&E sales, sales solicitation, sales administration, reservations, and accounts receivable.
· Assisting the Director of Sales to define and apply policies aimed at obtaining the highest possible Revpar and yield for the hotel.
· Work with the director to coordinate and supervise daily operations and keep management advised of customer attitudes and reactions toward the hotel.
· Ensuring compliance with regulations and internal policies.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing and implementing plans and goals for the department.
- Monitor attainment of objectives.
- Undertake staffing responsibilities (hiring, training, evaluating and etc.)
- Assist in budgeting and monitoring expenses if required.
- and submit reports to the director or other required departments or management.
- Perform another task as assigned by the direct manager.
Requirements and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a relevant field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role or proven experience as Assistant Director of Sales.
- Capacity to manage various projects and work to tight deadlines.
- In-depth knowledge of sales techniques and best practices.
- Excellent negotiation and leadership skills.
- Experience in performance and operations management.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and qualified standards.
- Multi-tasking.
- Trustworthy
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication in English and Arabic and vice versa.
- Proficient in MS Office, software (e.g ERP) is a plus.
- Holding a valid driving license in Qatar is preferable.
- Visa is transferable
- Can join immediately.
Security, Safety, and Health
· Maintains high confidentiality in regards to guest privacy.
· Reports any suspicious behavior of guests and staff to the General Manager and Security.
· Notifies housekeeper regarding lost and found objects.
· Ensures that all potential and real hazards are reported appropriately immediately.
· Fully understands the hotel’s fire, emergency, and bomb procedures.
· Follows emergency procedures to provide for the security and safety of guests and employees.
· Works in a safe manner that does not harm or injure self or others.
· Anticipates possible and probable hazards and conditions and notifies the Manager.
· Maintains the highest standards of personal hygiene, dress, uniform, appearance, body language and conduct.
